リンドウ・キク科開花＠南アルプスブランチ

南アルプスブランチでは、以前紹介したイワシャジンに替わるように、リンドウやキク科の花が開花を迎えます。

色が似ているので紛らわしいのですが、紫色の花はイワシャジンからリンドウへと開花のピークが入れ替わります（リンドウ・・・リンドウ科リンドウ属： Gentiana scabra）。紫色でこの時期に咲く花としてトリカブトもあるのですが、土砂崩れや治山工事の影響で蕎麦粒山周辺では少し数が減っています。

また、リュウノウギクが南赤石林道のいたるところで群落を形成します（リュウノウギク・・・キク科キク属： Chrysanthemum makinoi）。生育環境がよほど適しているらしく、林道蕎麦粒線沿いでは年々その数が増えています。

Flowers of Gentianaceae and Asteraceae start to bloom in the South Alps Branch.

Flowers of Gentiana scabra and Adenophora takedae are purple, and the peak bloom of Gentiana scabra follow that of Adenophora takedae. Flowers of Aconitum are purple too, but the number of individuals are declining due to landslides and the work for forest disaster prevention.

We can also see communities of Chrysanthemum makinoi. The number of individuals are increasing possibly because of the suitable habitat for the species.

ふじのくに学（農林業）

11/22 に天竜ブランチでふじのくに学（農林業）が行われました。 午前は、野生動物による林業被害対策について解説しました。 シカやカモシカが低木の葉を食べる動画を見たり、宿舎周辺で罠やシカ柵の実物を見たりしながら説明しました。 午後は、宿舎周辺でコンテナ苗の植え付けや下刈りについて解説したのち、ヒノキ林で枝打ちと間伐体験を行いました。 斜面で立木を伐倒するたいへんさ、枝打ちをする高さ、切りたてのヒノキのにおいなど実感してもらえたのではないかとおもいます。 みなさん林業とは関わりがうすい学部からの参加ということもあり、 実際に森林で活動することで林業に興味を持つきっかけになっていればうれしいです。 （栗）  On November 22nd, Fuji-no-Kuni-Gaku (Agriculture and Forestry) was held at the Tenryu Branch. In the morning, we learned about measures to mitigate forestry damage caused by wild animals. Using videos of deer and serow feeding on shrub leaves, as well as showing actual traps and deer fences around the lodge, we explained how such damage occurs and how it is managed. In the afternoon, after we explained about planting container seedlings and weeding around the lodge, participants experienced pruning and thinning in a cypress forest. カーボンニュートラル（プレ）実習

次年度から開講予定のカーボンニュートラルフィールドワークに先立ち、主に静岡大学グローバル共創科学部の学生に参加してもらってプレ実習を開催しました。  1日目は、1本のヒノキがどれほどの炭素を蓄積してきたのか、実際に木を伐倒して推定しました。予想より小さい値であったようで、みなさん驚いていました。 2日目には、森林管理が短期的に、あるいは中・長期的にどのような効果をもたらすのかについて、間伐試験地などを見学しながら考える実習を行いました。 二酸化炭素吸収量の維持・増加を目指すために森林が重要という大まかなイメージは皆さんが持っていたものの、 森林管理がもたらす具体的な効果やその効果が現れるまでの時間についてはイメージができていないことが多かったようです。 この実習を通してその辺りの理解を深めていただけたのではないかと思います。  参加者からのフィードバックを参考にして、次年度からの実習をより良い形にしていきたいと思います。 （花） Ahead of the Carbon Neutral Fieldwork course scheduled to begin next academic year, we held a pre-training session, primarily for students in the Faculty of Global Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation at Shizuoka University.
