山の講と地域懇談会（2016/1/29）/ Regional exchange meeting 29th Jan @Tenryu

もう1ヶ月以上も前ですが、地域の森林業務に携わる方々を招いて懇談会を開催しました。あいにくの天気だったのですが（今年度は驚くほど雨に祟られました）、40人近い方々にご参加頂いて盛況な会となりました。写真掲載の許可をとっていないので、少ししか様子を紹介できないのですが、掛川森林組合や農林事務所、山林協会の方々にもご参加頂き、新たな交流をできました。静岡大のOBも多く、うれしかったと同時に教育の場にいる責任を改めて感じました。

現地見学会では、もっとおもしろい現場の様子を紹介できるように、現在森林経営計画を立案中です。来年は晴れますように。ご参加頂いた皆さま、ありがとうございました。

Shinto ritual to prey safe of this year's field work and regional exchange meeting & party were held at Tenryu. Although it was rainy day, more than 40 people working at forestry related company and society attended and enjoyed to exchange opinions for forestry, education and so on. There was new entry from Kakegawa forest cooperative, Seibunourin office and Sanrinkyokai. But, I can show only two photos here, because I forgot to obtain permission. Sorry for that. Many graduates of Shizuoka University were included in the participants. I was glad but felt responsibility to groom successors at the same time.

Now, we are making a forest management plan that attracts participants in field excursion. Thank you for your participation.

ふじのくに学（農林業）

11/22 に天竜ブランチでふじのくに学（農林業）が行われました。 午前は、野生動物による林業被害対策について解説しました。 シカやカモシカが低木の葉を食べる動画を見たり、宿舎周辺で罠やシカ柵の実物を見たりしながら説明しました。 午後は、宿舎周辺でコンテナ苗の植え付けや下刈りについて解説したのち、ヒノキ林で枝打ちと間伐体験を行いました。 斜面で立木を伐倒するたいへんさ、枝打ちをする高さ、切りたてのヒノキのにおいなど実感してもらえたのではないかとおもいます。 みなさん林業とは関わりがうすい学部からの参加ということもあり、 実際に森林で活動することで林業に興味を持つきっかけになっていればうれしいです。 （栗）  On November 22nd, Fuji-no-Kuni-Gaku (Agriculture and Forestry) was held at the Tenryu Branch. In the morning, we learned about measures to mitigate forestry damage caused by wild animals. Using videos of deer and serow feeding on shrub leaves, as well as showing actual traps and deer fences around the lodge, we explained how such damage occurs and how it is managed. In the afternoon, after we explained about planting container seedlings and weeding around the lodge, participants experienced pruning and thinning in a cypress forest. カーボンニュートラル（プレ）実習

次年度から開講予定のカーボンニュートラルフィールドワークに先立ち、主に静岡大学グローバル共創科学部の学生に参加してもらってプレ実習を開催しました。  1日目は、1本のヒノキがどれほどの炭素を蓄積してきたのか、実際に木を伐倒して推定しました。予想より小さい値であったようで、みなさん驚いていました。 2日目には、森林管理が短期的に、あるいは中・長期的にどのような効果をもたらすのかについて、間伐試験地などを見学しながら考える実習を行いました。 二酸化炭素吸収量の維持・増加を目指すために森林が重要という大まかなイメージは皆さんが持っていたものの、 森林管理がもたらす具体的な効果やその効果が現れるまでの時間についてはイメージができていないことが多かったようです。 この実習を通してその辺りの理解を深めていただけたのではないかと思います。  参加者からのフィードバックを参考にして、次年度からの実習をより良い形にしていきたいと思います。 （花） Ahead of the Carbon Neutral Fieldwork course scheduled to begin next academic year, we held a pre-training session, primarily for students in the Faculty of Global Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation at Shizuoka University.
