静岡大学フィールドセンターでは、3泊4日（8/29－9/1）の日程で、公開森林実習を開催します。天竜の人工林と常緑広葉樹林から富士山の森林限界まで、日本の代表的な森林植生を体感できるツアー型の実習です。各森林では生態的特徴やその調査技術を学びます。詳しい内容は、ポスターおよび全演協HPをご覧下さい（http://www.fsc.miyazaki-u.ac.jp/foe/index.htm）。単位互換協定のない大学からも参加できます（単位はでませんが、修了証明を発行可能です）。森林生態系に興味のある大学生の皆さん、ふるってご応募ください。締め切りは6/30です！　皆さんの参加をおまちしてます！ We hold tour-type, open field lecture in Shizuoka University forests from 29th Aug to 1st Sep (three nights-four days trip). We visit various kinds of forest ecosystems from lowland laurel forests in Tenryu to tree line at Mt. Fuji. This tour covers most of representative forests in Japan. You can study ecosystem functions and measurement technique there. 今年は、スズタケだけでなく、オオイタヤメイゲツとブナも並～豊作のようです。また、スズタケは数10ha規模で開花する様で、一斉枯死の生態系への影響を調べることにしました。 もし、ササの一斉枯死現象にご興味のある方がいましたら、ご一報を。基礎データや研究に必要な消耗品費は、できる限り演習林が負担いたします。 In this year, not only Sasa borealis but also Acer shirasawanum and Fagus crenata seem to bear many fruits in South Alps field. Particular, Sasa borealis will die over dozens of ha, which will have large impact on forest ecosystem through changes in material flow and intensity of deer attack. If you are interested in this study topic, please let us know. We can provide basic info (microclimate, vegetation map etc.) and consumable goods for your study.

ヤマドリはとても美しい鳥でした。昨日投稿した動画は解像度が低かったので、今日は写真を投稿します。 Copper pheasant is beautiful bird. Since the movie I contributed yesterday was low in resolution, I upload his photograph today.

昨日、実習準備のためにフィールドへ出たのですが、そこでヤマドリに1時間以上にわたり追いかけられるという、貴重な体験をしました。初めは、私達に気づいていないのかな？と思ったのですが、大きな音を出しても、追いかけても逃げる気配がなく、逆に1時間ずっと付きまとわれる始末。1～2mくらいの距離でつかず離れずで、作業中もずっと監視？されていました。原因として（１）車を止めた場所に巣があって、とてもお怒りになっている、（２）私の緑のカッパが魅力的で求愛された　が考えられますが、おそらく前者かと。ヤマドリをこれでもかとじっくりと観察できるめずらしい体験をしました。動画は、道路沿いで葉むしりをしている私達のまわりをヤマドリが監視している様子です。 When we made preparation for next field lecture in Tenryu field, we were chased by a wild copper pheasant (Syrmaticus soemmerringii) for 1 hour! What happened to you？Did we park close to your nest? So, you got angry? Or, did you fall love to my nice green raincoat?  This movie shows copper pheasant that sharply observed our movement with walking around us insistently.

南アルプスへ今年初めての調査へ行ってきました。昨年にスズタケが花を咲かせたことを報告しました。それらの個体は枯死したのですが、今年は残されたスズタケも大量に花を咲かせています。来年には宿舎周辺のスズタケ（1haくらい？）は一斉に枯死しそうです。原因はよくわからないのですが、この現象を実習や研究に活せないものかと考えています。というわけで、もしササの開花や枯死を利用した研究に興味のある方がいましたら、お気軽にご連絡ください。フィールドの提供や調査のサポートをします。 In last year, dwarf bamboo (Sasa borealis) has intensively flowered in South Alps field and has died. In this year, residual bamboo intensively flowered again. Most of bamboo in 1.5 ha plot will die in next year. If you are interested in study related to this phenomenon, please contact us. We will provide experimental plot and will support your research.

静岡大学の森林フィールドや天竜の森林関連企業で、職場体験をしませんか？　静岡大学フィールドセンター森林生態系部門では、自然豊かな山村地域で職場体験をしたい大学生を募集しています。2回に分けて開催予定で、第１回（8/17～21）は「大学の森林保全業務＋地元企業現場体験の欲張りコース」、第２回（9/2～6）は「大学の森林保全業務を満喫コース」となっています。森林保全業務では大学の森林技術職員の仕事を体験し、企業現場体験（2社を訪問）では伐採・搬出から製材・加工・販売まで、森林の一連の業務を体験します。定員は各回4名で、6/30締め切り、抽選方式になります。詳細はポスターをご覧のうえ、各大学インターンシップ担当者にご相談ください。また、資料請求はポスターの問い合わせ先までお願いします。お申し込みはお早めに！ Internship program at University forest and regional forestry companies is held on 17-21 Aug and on 2-6 Sep. In the first schedule, we visit both University forest and two forestry companies. You can thus experience all of works for Japanese forestry, from forest preservation to processing and selling. In the second schedule, we visit University forest, and study forest management and preservation in detail. Capacity of each schedule is 4 and application deadline is on 30 June.
