静岡大学の森林フィールドや天竜の森林関連企業で、職場体験をしませんか？　静岡大学フィールドセンター森林生態系部門では、自然豊かな山村地域で職場体験をしたい大学生を募集しています。2回に分けて開催予定で、第１回（8/17～21）は「大学の森林保全業務＋地元企業現場体験の欲張りコース」、第２回（9/2～6）は「大学の森林保全業務を満喫コース」となっています。森林保全業務では大学の森林技術職員の仕事を体験し、企業現場体験（2社を訪問）では伐採・搬出から製材・加工・販売まで、森林の一連の業務を体験します。定員は各回4名で、6/30締め切り、抽選方式になります。詳細はポスターをご覧のうえ、各大学インターンシップ担当者にご相談ください。また、資料請求はポスターの問い合わせ先までお願いします。お申し込みはお早めに！ Internship program at University forest and regional forestry companies is held on 17-21 Aug and on 2-6 Sep. In the first schedule, we visit both University forest and two forestry companies. You can thus experience all of works for Japanese forestry, from forest preservation to processing and selling. In the second schedule, we visit University forest, and study forest management and preservation in detail. Capacity of each schedule is 4 and application deadline is on 30 June. 天竜フィールドでは、新館と旧館（講義棟）が離れており、新館の学生が講義棟へ行くには一度外へ出なければならず、不便でした。現在、新館と旧館をつなぐ渡り廊下を建設中で、アクセスがかなり便利になります。快適になった天竜フィールドを是非、ご利用ください。 In Tenryu field, accommodation for women were separated from the main building and students thus needed to go outside to access to lecture room, which was very inconvenient especially on rainy day. To improve this problem, open corridor connecting two buildings is now under construction. The work will be completed in the end of March. Please use new Tenryu field for study and education. Second photo is reproductive shoot of horsetail, Equisetum arvense, which is one of seasonal features to announce the advent of spring in Japan.

生態管理学実習を天竜フィールドで行いました。植生調査、土壌調査から樹幹解析まで、内容盛りだくさんの実習でした。充実した4日間だったのではないでしょうか。（この前に測量実習も行われていたのですが、会議出席のために写真を撮影できませんでした。連続で参加した学生さんはお疲れ様でした！）

上阿多古では先週から花粉がすごいです。春の実習が終わった直後に知らせても全くの手遅れなのですが・・・フィールドにお越しの際には花粉症対策を万全にしてください。 Now, large amount of pollen of Sugi cedar is scattering in Tenryu field. Please take thorough measures for pollen allergy when you come to Tenryu field. But, major field lectures in spring have been finished in this week, and thus this announcement may have been too late for students. I'm sorry...

アジア5カ国6大学の研究者を招いて、各大学の演習林の相互利用に関する会議を行いました。海外向け野外実習の規模がますます大きくなりそうです。 Meeting for Asia University Forest Network was held in Shizuoka University. Representatives of six University forests gathered from five countries (China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam) and discussed mutual use of University forest for promoting field education, study and international exchange. Scale of international field lecture is expanding!

懇親会　第2部の様子です。 すてきな横断幕はなんとゲストの手作りです。 夜遅くまで、林業の話題で盛り上がりました。 After-party of conference We lively discussed forest management until late at night. Nice banner in photo is handmade by guest.

あいにくの雨天でしたが、山の講の後に、地域の林業関係者を招いてフィールド見学と懇談会を行いました。総勢26名の盛況な会となり、懇談会のディスカッションテーマ「人工林をどのように更新させるか？」では、活発な意見交換がおこなわれました。懇親会では森林林業センターからご提供いただいた鹿肉と猪肉料理も振る舞われ、参加者の方々と親交を深めることができました。 天竜フィールドでは、現在、大学ならではの森林管理を検討中で、早ければ来年度から、モデル林づくりに取り組む予定です。懇親会ではその抱負も説明させて頂きました。地域林業に貢献できるようにがんばりますので、今年もよろしくお願いいたします。 Annual event which offers prayers for safety and success of our work was held at Tenryu field on 30 Jan. After the event, informal conference was held to exchange ideas for regeneration of old plantation with people concerned with forest industry in Tenryu region.
