上阿多古小学校特別授業

5/22 に上阿多古小学校のみなさん（1-6 年生 14 人と先生 5 人）が天竜フィールドにお越しになり、自然観察会を行いました。 

ネズミの観察と昆虫の調査をするために、事前に森林内にトラップを設置していたので、まずみんなでトラップを回収しました。 残念ながら今回ネズミは捕獲されず……。以前撮影した、ネズミが堅果を持ち去る動画を紹介し、ネズミが貯食散布を通して森づくりに貢献していることを説明しました。 一方、昆虫調査では、クロシデムシやセンチコガネ、ムネアカオオアリなどが捕獲され、昨年校庭で行った調査結果と比較しながら、 環境によって生息する昆虫が異なることを実感してもらうことができました。 

最後に皆伐地周辺でドローンの操縦体験を行いました。 みなさんコントローラーの使い方には慣れているようで、わいわい盛り上がりながらドローンの便利さを体感してもらえたのではないかとおもいます。 動物調査の成果はまあまあだったのですが、最後にひと盛り上がりあり、内心ほっとしました。 

小学校の校庭での活動だけでなく、演習林での活動も通して、今後も地域の自然を学べる機会を提供していきたいです。

We conducted a special class for students of Kamiatago Elementary School in our experimental forest. First, we collected traps that I had set up in the forest to observe wood mice and insects. Unfortunately, no mice were captured this time.... I explained that wood mice contribute to forest regeneration by seed dispersal via caching by showing a video we had previously taken of wood mice carrying acorns. On the other hand, we were able to capture various insects such as burying beetles, dung beetles, and ants. Comparing the results of survey conducted in the school ground, we learned about variations in insects depending on habitats. Lastly, the students experienced UAV operation near a clear-cut logging area. They enjoyed the experience and realized the convenience of the drone, we believe. We would like to continue to provide opportunities for the students to learn about nature in the region through activities not only in the elementary school but also in our experimental forest.

ふじのくに学（農林業）

11/22 に天竜ブランチでふじのくに学（農林業）が行われました。 午前は、野生動物による林業被害対策について解説しました。 シカやカモシカが低木の葉を食べる動画を見たり、宿舎周辺で罠やシカ柵の実物を見たりしながら説明しました。 午後は、宿舎周辺でコンテナ苗の植え付けや下刈りについて解説したのち、ヒノキ林で枝打ちと間伐体験を行いました。 斜面で立木を伐倒するたいへんさ、枝打ちをする高さ、切りたてのヒノキのにおいなど実感してもらえたのではないかとおもいます。 みなさん林業とは関わりがうすい学部からの参加ということもあり、 実際に森林で活動することで林業に興味を持つきっかけになっていればうれしいです。 （栗）  On November 22nd, Fuji-no-Kuni-Gaku (Agriculture and Forestry) was held at the Tenryu Branch. In the morning, we learned about measures to mitigate forestry damage caused by wild animals. Using videos of deer and serow feeding on shrub leaves, as well as showing actual traps and deer fences around the lodge, we explained how such damage occurs and how it is managed. In the afternoon, after we explained about planting container seedlings and weeding around the lodge, participants experienced pruning and thinning in a cypress forest. カーボンニュートラル（プレ）実習

次年度から開講予定のカーボンニュートラルフィールドワークに先立ち、主に静岡大学グローバル共創科学部の学生に参加してもらってプレ実習を開催しました。  1日目は、1本のヒノキがどれほどの炭素を蓄積してきたのか、実際に木を伐倒して推定しました。予想より小さい値であったようで、みなさん驚いていました。 2日目には、森林管理が短期的に、あるいは中・長期的にどのような効果をもたらすのかについて、間伐試験地などを見学しながら考える実習を行いました。 二酸化炭素吸収量の維持・増加を目指すために森林が重要という大まかなイメージは皆さんが持っていたものの、 森林管理がもたらす具体的な効果やその効果が現れるまでの時間についてはイメージができていないことが多かったようです。 この実習を通してその辺りの理解を深めていただけたのではないかと思います。  参加者からのフィードバックを参考にして、次年度からの実習をより良い形にしていきたいと思います。 （花） Ahead of the Carbon Neutral Fieldwork course scheduled to begin next academic year, we held a pre-training session, primarily for students in the Faculty of Global Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation at Shizuoka University.
