環境フィールドワーク
今週 7/24 に天竜ブランチで環境フィールド科学演習が行われ (https://wwp.shizuoka.ac.jp/agr-fc-forecol/?p=618)、東海大学より 13 名が参加しました。 森林パートでは、土壌断面の観察を行い、土壌の違いが植生や樹木の成長と関連することを学習しました。また、土壌を採取して、土壌層位ごとの透水性の違いも実験を通して学習しました。渓流パートでは西阿多古川の流量計算を行うとともに、pH や電気伝導度を計測し、河川における物質輸送について学びました。 たいへん暑い 1 日でしたが、みなさん集中して活動に取り組んでいました。今年初めて透水性試験を実施しましたが、森林と渓流のつながりについてより深く理解することができたのではないかとおもいます。 （花・栗） Practices in Environment Field Science was held at Tenryu Branch this week (https://wwp.shizuoka.ac.jp/agr-fc-forecol/?p=618). Thirteen students from Tokai University participated in the practice. Students observed soil profiles and learned that different soil types are related to vegetation and vegetation growth. They also collected soil samples and studied the differences in permeability of different soil strata through experiments. In Nishiatago river, they learned about material transport in riverine ecosystems by calculating the flow rate of the river and measuring pH and electrical conductivity of the water.
