この週末、中国の浙江大学からの学生が天竜ブランチに宿泊に来ていました。 富士山や伊豆など、日本の自然・地理遺産とツーリズムを学ぶ実習の一環で、天竜では日本の森林・林業について話す予定でしたが... あいにく台風などにより色々と予定が変わり、森林観察などフィールド実習はできませんでした。残念！ 写真は宿舎でのミニ講義の様子と、その後見学に行った竜ヶ岩洞です。 （鶴） This weekend, students from Zhejiang University in China came to stay at the Tenryu branch. This is a part of lecture learning about tourism and Japanese Natural- and Geo-heritages including Mt. Fuji and Izu Peninsula. In Tenryu, we were originally planning to lecture Japanese forest and forestry... Unfortunately, the schedule has changed due to the typhoon, etc. We couldn't held Field practice such as forest observation. Sorry! The picture shows the mini lecture in the lodge and the Ryugashi cave that went to afterwards. M.T.

今日は東海大学の学生が参加する実習が天竜で行われました（環境フィールド科学演習）。http://fc-forecol.agr.shizuoka.ac.jp/wordpress/?p=663） 実習では森林（飯尾先生）と河川（今泉先生）とで、物質の移動について学びました。 昼前の土壌呼吸を測定する時には、天竜の林内も30度を超える高温となっていましたね。それでもみなさんしっかりと話を聞いて、メモをとってくれていました。 昼からの川沿いも、思ったほどの涼しさは得られず… ホント暑い中お疲れ様でした！ （鶴）

フィールド植物図鑑、コシアブラ（漉油）の紹介を更新しました。 （http://fc-forecol.agr.shizuoka.ac.jp/wordpress/?p=843） 形成層に歪みゲージを設置して陰圧を測定することで、樹木が季節を通して水ストレスをどれほど受けているのか計測することができるそうです。 夏場の私たちは測定に必死ですが、樹木もそりゃ受けた傷口を守るため必死にもなりますよね。 （鶴）

暑かったですね。今日は静岡県立林業大学校への講義実習の最終日でした。 （http://fc-forecol.agr.shizuoka.ac.jp/wordpress/?p=2666） 前回、そして今日の午前中は実際に林内で樹高や樹冠投影面積を毎木調査してきましたが。今日の後半では、ドローンで撮影した写真から同林分を3Dモデル化し、ここから同じく樹高と樹冠投影面積を測定する作業をしました！ 一度ドローンを飛ばすだけで、あとはエアコンの効いた室内で毎木調査が可能になるのは驚きでした。一方、このような写真測量が難しい林分、計測が難しい指標があることも分かっていただけましたでしょうか。 （鶴） It's a hot day today. And today is the last day of a practice for Shizuoka Prefectural Agriculture and Forestry College students. （http://fc-forecol.agr.shizuoka.ac.jp/wordpress/?p=2666&lang=en） In this practice, we first measured tree heights and crown projection areas in the Tenryu branch forest. But in the last lecture, we measured these indexes in the cool air-conditioned room!! using a UAV (drone) photogrammetry. How effective and comfortably it is. But we also learned that it's difficult to apply measuring some indexes (such as DBH) and for the forest without gaps (monoclonal plantation). M.T.

今日は静岡県立農林大学校の林業学科の学生が天竜ブランチに来て、林内実習を行いました！ 「林業経営II」の一環として行われたこの講義では、森林の立地の違いと樹木の成長について学ぶだけでなく、レーザー測量、ドローンを使った写真測量など、最新の森林測定方法の紹介もしました。 （鶴）
